A new relationship with art was created for clients in their home in Northland – where nature and the view takes centre stage.
The Layering of ‘You’
With the framework of an architectural masterpiece in the setting of stunning nature, the clients could have taken the approach of sitting back and relaxing. However, after realising that their home needed to be representative of the family, a reflection of who they are, The Art Precinct were invited to collaborate with them to bring personalised art into the home. The result: ‘A profound sense of belonging’ every time they entered through the front door.

Custom collaboration with artists
Unique aspects of the home allowed the TAP team to work with galleries and artists to create bespoke installations, bringing stories, behavior and the home’s striking lines into the conversation. The below work by Gregor Kregar, represented by the Gow Langsford Gallery, reflects to the idea of ‘the land of the long white cloud’ as the clients and their guests enjoy an indoor swimming pool. The reflection of the tone-in-tone, large aloft sculptures dance on the water in beautiful colours.

What the Clients said…
“What an amazing holistic approach, guiding us on acquiring art and creating an amazing art collection for our home and garden. This holistic approach meant getting to know my family, introducing us to artists and their works which were beautiful and interesting, while also representation concepts which were meaningful to each family member.
The end result was an aesthetic elevation of our home and surrounding grounds. What was once a space that was merely graceful, is now a beautiful home that reflects the taste and personality of our family and will provide an emotional toughstone for years to come.
We have learnt so much from this process, about art and objects, our own aesthetics and what is important to surround our family with.”
