These are inherited lines, carrying within them the colonial impulse to organise land into landscape, to make the unfamiliar legible and owned. Repeated, layered, examined, they begin to reveal themselves not as natural or inevitable, but as a worldview made visible. The work sits with that discomfort, turning the learned gesture back on itself and asking what it truly means to draw such a line.
