A luminous interplay of past and present, this work layers a 3D model of the alien-like Anthurium lily over a fragment of Nicolas Chevalier’s 1861 landscape. The vivid reds and layered greens recall Gordon Matta-Clark’s sculptural sensibility, while the softly glowing mountain grounds the composition in a colonial imaginary. The result is a collision of forms and times, where the botanical becomes architectural and the landscape both shimmers and unsettles.
