Earthy blush pinks, warm browns and soft cream drift across the canvas like fields seen mid-stride, grasses bending in some remembered wind. There’s no fixed path here, only the sense of movement through open country – the rhythm of walking, the pull of what’s ahead. Brenda trades literal green for a warmer, more intuitive palette, capturing not the countryside itself but the feeling of wanting to keep going.

Rather than painting directly from a scene, Brenda draws from remembered moments, impressions, and the feeling a landscape leaves behind, creating works that are expressive and atmospheric.
Unrestricted in her use of colour, Brenda’s paintings move between vivid, energetic palettes and softer, more pared-back tones, depending on the emotion and rhythm of the work. Bold skies, luminous waterways, rolling terrain, and abstracted forms emerge through layered brushwork and confident mark-making, giving each piece a strong sense of movement and individuality.
