A childhood memory of a Chagall poster lingers behind this piece – not the angel itself, but the sense of something descending from above. The pale blue ground has a restless energy to it, as though caught mid-movement, while black outlines settle into opposite corners. Wings, perhaps, though abstract, enough to suggest presence without ever confirming it.
