Client Portfolio

This is where the magic happens. Where you sit back, watch it unfold and enjoy every moment.

With over 30 years at the heart of the creative, design and art world, Clare Mora guides those who are time-poor or simply overwhelmed through a deeply personal visual and emotional journey.

After an initial discovery process to understand your vision and set clear parameters, everything unfolds seamlessly – with wrap-around care at every step.

The outcome is a home alive with original art – each piece carrying the story and energy of its maker – where you finally feel a sense of belonging you may never have experienced before.

When Nature Hangs the First Piece | Mahurangi, NZ

When the view is the masterpiece, everything else has to earn its place.

Set within an architectural marvel overlooking one of New Zealand’s most breathtaking coastal landscapes, this project was about more than acquiring art – it was about building a visual language for a family. New to collecting, our clients trusted us completely, and together we took our time. Artist visits, long deliberations over many coffees, and input from the whole family. The result is a home that doesn’t just display art – it tells the story of who they are.

What impressed us most about working with Clare and The Art Precinct was the level of detail – each artwork stands confidently on its own, yet works seamlessly as part of a cohesive collection across the interior and garden. The result has been a remarkable aesthetic elevation of our home, creating a space that reflects our family’s personality and brings us joy every day. It has become an emotional touchstone for us, and we couldn’t be happier.

Juxtaposing Joy | Auckland, NZ

Some homes display art. This one was shaped by it.

What began as a classic bungalow renovation on a leafy Remuera street became something richer when the art collection started asking for more room – and got it. What began as a piece here and there became something far more intentional – a collection that reflects each member of a vibrant family, with everyone having a say and everyone represented. Curating that story, finding the thread that ties it all together – that’s where the real work happens.

During our bungalow renovation, we quickly realised our growing art collection needed more than just wall space – it needed a plan. Bringing Clare in changed everything. She helped us reimagine our living spaces with the art at the centre, sourcing and positioning pieces that elevate both the collection and the home itself.

The result is beyond anything we imagined: an interior shaped by our art, enhanced by beautifully considered details, and perfectly suited to family life and entertaining. Clare’s eye, intuition, and approach have enriched our home – and our lives – every day.

Sculptural Forms | Hawkes Bay, NZ

With sculpted land, considered architecture, and light that does extraordinary things across the day, this property was already making a statement. Easy to assume the art could sit this one out.

One conversation proved otherwise and in fact changed the brief entirely. A client with a deep love of materials, texture, and craft; a home that demanded works with the same rigour. What followed was a collection that doesn’t compete with its surroundings – it completes them bringing such joy to this special property and family.

Clare and The Art Precinct have completely transformed the look and feel of our home. One piece she discovered has become incredibly meaningful to me – it depicts an area close to where I grew up and even includes trees my father planted. It will always be my favourite. We receive so many compliments on our art, and I couldn’t recommend the experience more.

What Happens When the Art Outstages the House?

You buy the art. Someone else buys the house. Everyone wins.

We were brought in by Rarebirds Studio to curate art for a newly renovated home that would speak to the kind of buyer the space deserved. It worked, perhaps better than intended. The art sold to one set of admirers. The house sold to another. A collaboration that turned a beautiful interior into something with genuine emotional pull – and proved, not for the first time, that the right art changes everything.

Art selection and placement play a critical role in elevating our interior projects, and working with Clare at The Art Precinct was instrumental in bringing a strong emotional dimension to our latest Auckland project. Clare’s ability to intuitively understand our design language and enhance the narrative within the space resulted in a collection that felt both considered and deeply connected.

The Art Precinct’s contribution added depth, clarity, and emotional resonance to the interiors, allowing the project to reach an exceptional level for our client.

We are not art collectors…they are now! | Auckland, NZ

After an extensive renovation, the home was stunning. It just didn’t quite know who lived there yet. That’s where we came in, to add the final layer – the one that turns a beautiful house into an unmistakable home.

The clients came in cautious. Quietly convinced this wasn’t really for them. But something shifts when you meet the artist behind a work you’ve been circling, when you see pieces chosen specifically with your family in mind, arranged together like they were always meant to be there. Reservation became curiosity. Curiosity became connection. Connection became a collection.

Working with The Art Precinct has been one of the most rewarding creative partnerships in our studio’s journey. Clare brings a deep understanding of how art shapes space and narrative, delivering soulful, intuitively aligned curations across every project.

Her process is considered and collaborative, consistently elevating outcomes beyond expectation. Whether sourcing a single statement piece or curating within a broader concept, we trust Clare to honour the creative vision, the client’s space, and the artist’s voice.

New Zealand Connection in Beverly Hills | LA, USA

High in the Hollywood Hills, this home had the backdrop. What it needed was the story.

For a couple carrying two countries in their bones – one from New Zealand, the other from the US – the brief was deeply personal. Walk through the front door and feel both identities, immediately.

What they discovered along the way was something they hadn’t quite anticipated: the collection became the conversation. Visitors ask. Stories get told. Two people, two countries, one home – and art that does the introductions.

I never had the confidence to introduce art that would truly work with our home, hold its value, and feel cohesive as a collection. Once we selected pieces that connected – each with its own personality and story – the house began to feel like a home. What was once quite bland was transformed into a space full of life.

Our art now sparks conversation and brings real joy, both for us and our visitors. The entire process was delightful, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Art Precinct.

When the Outside Comes Inside and the Inside is Outside| North Island, NZ

Nature at its best.

Deep in New Zealand bush, this retreat was designed for a family based overseas who wanted one thing above all else – to feel connected to nature, completely. As night falls, over forty lights slowly emerge through the gardens, illuminating the depths of the bush in a quiet, unhurried reveal. Birdsong. Shadow. The art doesn’t interrupt – it responds. Every work chosen by artists who understood that the brief was never just about space. It was about feeling.

Working with Clare on the art curation for our home and garden was an incredibly rewarding experience. She took a truly holistic approach, considering the architecture, landscape, and our family as a whole, while also introducing us to artists and works that were visually compelling and deeply meaningful.

With a backdrop to die for… | Wellington, NZ

Nothing beats Wellington on a good day. And when the notorious weather rolls in, you turn your attention inside – which, as it turns out, is exactly the point.

The clients loved their position for the view, but it was the drama of the weather closing in that became the true brief. Bring the hues, the moodiness, the shifting intensity inside. Each zone of the home has its own purpose and its own story, the works linking together to take the eye – and the imagination – on a journey from room to room.

Before working with Clare, I wanted to start an art collection but lacked the confidence to know what to buy – both aesthetically and from an investment perspective. Clare took the time to really understand my taste and our home, and guided me towards pieces I love and feel confident investing in. She made the whole process feel easy and reassuring.

Cool Midcentury Pad | LA, USA

A bachelor pad to adore.

Above the hustle of Hollywood’s most iconic strips, this midcentury home sits calm, considered, and quietly spectacular. A creative retreat – the kind of place that hosts dinner parties that turn into something more, where the art does as much talking as the guests.

New Zealand art, curated from across the Pacific and placed with complete confidence, tells a story that’s both personal and unmistakably cinematic. Job done!

Working with The Art Precinct allowed me to bring contemporary New Zealand art into my mid-century home in Los Angeles with complete confidence. Being able to view artworks in my space using the augmented reality tools was invaluable – it allowed me to experience each piece in situ and make decisions from across the Pacific with ease.

Every stage, from curation through to installation, was handled seamlessly. The result is a home where the art adds warmth, depth, and soul, telling my story in a way that feels both personal and timeless.
