Created during Kate’s residency at Waitawa Regional Park, this photograph uses invasive bindweed exposed to sunlight and a commonly used herbicide, producing its distinctive green finish. The process renders the plant almost like an X-ray, revealing hidden internal structures. Scientific and poetic at once, the image is mysterious, fragile, and unexpectedly beautiful, transforming eradication into quiet revelation.
