Kathryn Carter is well-known for her beautiful representation of her Northland homeland. She often depicts the islands that rise out of the water, dotted through the Bay of Islands, capturing them at different times of the day in different light. With Cloudscape, she is moving her attention to the sky – equally important in a New Zealand environment.
